What is UKAS?

Introduction

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the sole national accreditation body recognised by Government to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services to internationally agreed standards.

We are a UKAS accredited certification body (No. 4307) and our accreditation currently covers the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Over time we will be extending the scope of our accreditation to include all of the major ISO Management standards.

Why become accredited?

In the same way that our clients have a need to verify their credentials, we too want to prove that we are fit for purpose and meet exacting standards. Our UKAS accreditation proves our management, methods and people skills and is the only accreditation approved by Government. We want our customers to know that they can trust us and accreditation from UKAS is the best way of achieving this.

What are the benefits for our clients?

Firstly, there's the peace of mind that you'll be dealing with an organisation of substance. Added to this, our certification will be accepted everywhere and in particular, with any public sector work you might wish to tender for.

"It has opened up markets and we have been able win tenders, without the ISO's we are not even eligible to submit a tender."
