Thanks to our participation in the UKAS early adopter scheme, we’re among the first bodies to offer certification to the newest standards. Our clients have jumped at the chance to be one of the first to shout about meeting the latest in global best practice.

While organisations with certification in place have until September 2018 to make the transition to the new standards, many are migrating now in order to benefit from the following:
- Re-engage with staff
- Look at opportunities for improvement
- Stand out from the competition
- Avoid a last-minute rush
With almost a 1,000 clients now beginning the transition journey, the opportunity is shrinking to be the first in the market to be certified to the updated ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 standards.
How do we make the transition to the new standard(s)?
Unfortunately, the industry has sought to make the new standards appear as complicated as possible. In reality, those with a robust management system already in place, will have no problems making the transition. Now is an ideal opportunity to see if anything can be learnt from the strengthened requirements made to the revised quality and environmental standards.
To begin the journey, simply book a Gap Analysis at your next Surveillance Audit. This will reveal the tweaks required so that – the following year – you will be ready to be audited against the new standard(s).
For those who wish to move quicker, we can re-visit between the Surveillance Audits once the Gap Analysis has been carried out. Just let us know, and we’ll accommodate your business’ needs!
How much will it cost to make the transition?
When making the transition to the new standard(s), your considerations should be:
- Purchasing a copy of the new standard(s)
- Booking a Gap Analysis audit
- Planning the time and resource to explain changes to management and staff
- Planning the time and resource to amend and review your management system(s)
The cost of the Gap Analysis starts at just £399+VAT in addition to your usual Surveillance Audit. Price will vary depending upon whether your organisation has more than one standard in place and the overall size and complexity of your organisation.
“We found the implementation process straightforward; BAB provided useful templates that we were able to manipulate for our own processes, and our Auditor was on hand when required.”
