Make Time for ISO 9001
We may be in a digital age, but when it comes to the crunch, word-of-mouth recommendations are the leading factor behind purchasing decisions.
Despite us becoming more used to online adverts and promotional emails, trust in these formats is actually declining. The most effective form of marketing is free – this is great news. Of course, the tricky part is creating a service that people are going to recommend.
Here at the British Assessment Bureau, we started taking this truly seriously five years ago when we decided to commission an external research agency to carry out our annual Client Satisfaction Survey. We were also committed to publishing the results publicly. Needless to say, there are a few nerves ahead of the results being announced each year!
It turns out, we needn’t be worried.
In our most recent survey carried out earlier this year, 68% of respondents said that they had qualified for or directly won business as a result of becoming certified to ISO 9001.
Standards such as ISO 9001, for Quality Management, really helps businesses become more efficient, more connected, and more in tune with their customers. Therefore, it’s fantastic to be able to say to those still on the fence that certification can also help them win business.
Hopefully it comes as no surprise that 93% of clients surveyed go on to say they would recommend others to go for ISO certification.
Despite these stats, the leading reason for people not proceeding with certification is a lack of time. No time to be more efficient? No time to listen to your customers? No time to win new business? We’d argue there is a simple answer to that one – make the time!
